Privacy Policy
Effective June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LiveIndex.app, together with its associates, assigns, affiliates, successors, and service providers (collectively, "LiveIndex," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Service. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (such as your name, email address, and organisation) when you create an account, contact us, or subscribe to a paid plan. When you authorise a connection to a third-party tool, we receive an access token and read-only metadata: for example, pull-request titles and statuses, issue summaries and transitions, review and comment activity, repository and project names, and timestamps. We collect limited technical data (such as log and device information) needed to operate and secure the Service.
What we never collect: we do not access, store, or process your raw source code, commit contents, file diffs, or the bodies of private files. Our connections are strictly read-only, we never write to, alter, or delete anything in your connected accounts.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including generating delivery summaries, detecting blockers, producing forecasts and narratives, processing payments, and communicating with you about your account. We may use aggregated and anonymised data, which does not identify you, to operate and improve our models and features. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. AI Processing
The Service uses artificial intelligence and large language models, including models operated by third-party AI providers, to generate narratives, summaries, and predictions. Where AI processing occurs, only Work Unit metadata (such as pull-request titles, statuses, and issue summaries) is sent for inference; we do not transmit raw source code or personally identifiable information beyond the limited project metadata necessary to produce the output. We do not name our AI providers, and the providers we use may change over time; in all cases their handling of any data we send is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, see our Terms of Service for the disclaimers that apply.
4. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers under access controls and strict security rules. Access tokens are encrypted at rest, and we use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit. We retain only metadata, never raw source code, commit content, or file diffs. While we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service and transmit information at your own risk, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorised access, loss, or alteration of data beyond our reasonable control.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with the categories of service providers necessary to operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and storage, AI inference, payment processing, and transactional email, and only to the extent needed to perform their functions on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Client Report Sharing
When you generate a shareable client-report link, anyone who has that link can view the Work Units you have chosen to include. You control which data is included, and you can set expiration dates or revoke links at any time. You are responsible for distributing such links only to intended recipients.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You can access, update, or delete most account data directly from Settings. To make any other request, contact us through the contact form on our homepage. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and in any event within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data enters a read-only state for 30 days before being permanently deleted, unless a longer period is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for billing, security, and debugging purposes.
10. International Data Transfers
The Service is operated from the United States, and our providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data- protection laws may differ from those of your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
